A Station for Every Community
Each station is built around its community — the music they grew up with, the language they dream in, and the news that matters.
Qatar's first Malayalam FM
The flagship station. Kerala's voice in Doha — 24/7 music, news, entertainment and more since 2012
Built around communities.
Grown by trust.
QFM started with a simple belief: every community deserves a radio station that truly speaks its language. We've grown into a network of five stations — and we're still guided by that same belief.
Qatar's First Private FM Radio
QFM launched on 1st November 2017 — Qatar's first-ever private FM station, inaugurated by the Minister of Culture & Sports. The only FM to cover the complete State of Qatar, 24 hours a day.
Five Languages, Five Stations
As Qatar's expatriate community grew, so did QFM. We launched stations in Bangla, Tamil, Nepali and Sinhala — each purpose-built for its community, aligned with Qatar Vision 2030's goal of an inclusive, connected society.
One Network, One Qatar
Today, over 500,000 South Asian residents across Qatar tune into QFM. Five stations, five languages — run by media professionals with decades of experience across the Gulf and India.
"Every community in Qatar deserves a radio station that speaks their language, plays their music, and celebrates their culture — that is the promise of QFM."
